I`m back!!

In the video below, I`m telling you (in Portuguese) what happened during this period away of the blog. Why I took so long to write again here and what I`m doing from now...

I was writing here in Portuguese and in English the same post and it was taking so much time from me. I didn't have enough time anymore for both languages writing cause I was solving things in my life, so I decided to write here only in English from now and record these videos (talking about the same subject and saying the same things) on YouTube in Portuguese, it makes everything easier.

So, what happened during these 2 months away Luciana? Me and my husband decided that we should be together even before I get my spouse Visa, we were missing each other that much and our stress cause the visa documents and living far apart was making everything harder for us as well. So that's it! I came to England 2 months ago, I'm here with him passing these months until we can go together to Brazil to apply for my visa (remembering that Brazilians are allowed to stay in this country for 6 months with tourist visa).

Our life as couple is being so much better now that we are together, we are doing very well and we are very happy with our decision and still helping each other to sort out everything that is necessary for the visa application.

IELTS Life skills A1 exam - result

Did I write "waiting for 2 weeks for the result"? on last post?
Well, normally it is what really happens yeah, but (thank you Murphy Law!) , It was different for me. Veeeery different!

My exam was on 6th May, 2016 and they have sent the result document to me on 11th May, 2016, exactly one week later. I didn't know yet by this time if I was approved or not. So I began waiting it for 2 weeks...

Somenhing went wrong. This sending-process fucked my life up (sorry for swearing!). My certificate only arrived after a whole month! Exactly on 6th June, 2016. It was sent to Northeast of Brazil (Piauí) because they haven't wrote the post code on the envelope and the post office couldn't delivery it to me like that. They didn't know where they should delivery it at all. Anyway, in the end, it arrived with good new in it for me: I was approved!!!

Phew! One more step done!

Resultado da prova Life skills Ielts A1

No post passado eu escrevi "aguardar o resultado por 2 semanas"?
Bom, normalmente é isso que acontece mesmo, mas (obrigada Lei de Murphy!), comigo foi diferente! Beeem diferente!

Fiz a prova no dia 6 de maio de 2016 e o documento de aprovação (ou não, até então eu não sabia a resposta) foi enviado ao meu endereço no dia 11 de maio de 2016, exatamente 1 semana depois, então beleza, iria chegar em 2 semanas conforme o cronograma deles. #SQN

Deu cagada! Meu certificado chegou exatamente no dia 6 de junho de 2016. Foi pra um estado nordestino no Brasil (Piauí) por conta da ausência de CEP no envelope e dificultou que os Correiso o entregassem a mim no endereço correto. Mas pelo menos chegou: fui aprovada!

How my IELTS Life Skills A1 exam was

So I'm back here (after a long time) to tell you. I Survived!
I was pretty nervous, it wasn't really needed, but I was anyway.
Once there, I realised I did not have a colour copy of my passport and I had to work it all out, so here's a tip: take the COLOUR copy of your passport and the original with you to the exam, okay?
The test is carried out in pairs and follows some steps:

1- Introduction:
Say your full name and then spell it. Talk about where you are from and say a little about the place you live (how is your neighbourhood and how are your neighbours for example) and why you like to live there.

2- Listening
Two audios are played for you to hear and you answer a question (each) about one of the audios, then listen again and make up two more questions (for each) on the other audio which the other had not previously answered. They intersperse the audios that each participant will answer each time, but it is usually very basic day-to-day subject, mine was about going to the store to buy something and you can make notes for what you will say if you want. The good thing is that they ask the questions before we hear the audio for the second time, then when you hear again you are already thinking about what you want to answer and this helps you to pay more attention to the detail. For example, for me they asked what the person was buying (about the first audio), and what day of the week she would like the product delivered and the price of it (about the second audio). And that was it =)

3- Speaking
After this stage, we answered some personal questions based on the listening subject. In my case it was like, you like to buy? At where? What? You choose fast or slow? Because? This kind of thing.
And then,
The test supervisor gives a theme for each of the candidates to formulate some questions to the other candidate about the new topic that was given. You can write down the questions you will have decided on.
I had to ask the other candidate about "what do you like to do when you're among friends," and he made me questions about "what I like in relation to the learning the English language." Both subjects were told by the lady who was guiding us on the exam.

By the end we heard a "thank you very much! Your test is finished, bye-bye!" and entered the anxiety of waiting for the result for 2 weeks.

Como foi a minha prova Life Skills IELTS A1

Então, estou aqui de volta (depois de muito tempo) pra contar pra vocês. Eu sobrevivi!
Estava bastante nervosa, nem precisava na verdade, mas estava.
Chegando lá, percebi que não tinha cópia colorida do meu passaporte e tive que resolver isso, então fica a dica: levem a cópia COLORIDA do passaporte de vocês e o original ok?

A prova é realizada em dupla e segue-se de algumas etapas:

1- Apresentação:
Diga seu nome completo e depois soletre. Fale de onde você é e conte um pouco sobre o lugar que você mora (seu bairro, seus vizinhos) e porque você gosta de morar lá

2- Listening
Dois áudios são colocados pra ouvirmos e respondemos uma pergunta (cada) sobre um dos áudios, depois ouvimos de novo e faz-se mais duas perguntas (para cada um) sobre o outro áudio o qual não havíamos respondido anteriormente. Eles intercalam os áudios que cada um dos participantes vai responder por vez, mas o assunto geralmente é bem básico do dia-a-dia, o meu foi sobre ir a loja comprar alguma coisa e pode fazer anotações sobre detalhes do áudio se quiser. A boa é que eles dizem as perguntas quais serão antes de ouvirmos a segunda vez, então você já escuta mentalizando sobre o que quer responder e isso auxilia a prestar mais atenção no detalhe. Por exemplo, pra mim perguntaram o que a pessoa estava comprando (sobre o primeiro áudio), quanto era e em qual dia da semana ela gostaria que fosse entregue o produto (sobre o segundo áudio).

3- Speaking
Após essa etapa, respondemos a algumas perguntas pessoais baseadas no assunto do listening. No meu caso foi tipo, você gosta de comprar? Onde? O que? Você escolhe rápido ou demora a escolher? Por que? O que você leva em consideração na hora de escolher? Esse tipo de coisa.
E então,
O orientador da prova dá um tema para cada um dos candidatos formularem algumas perguntas para o outro sobre o tema que foi dado. Pode anotar as perguntas que vai fazer.
Eu tive que perguntar ao outro candidato sobre "o que ele gosta de fazer quando está entre amigos" e ele me fez perguntas sobre "o que eu gosto em relação ao aprendizado da língua inglesa". Ambos temas nos foram ditos pela orientadora da prova.

Por final ouvimos um "thank you very much! Your test is finished, bye-bye!" e entramos na ansiedade de aguardar o resultado por 2 semanas.

English exam for the Visa!

I hardly can't believe that my IELTS life skills A1 English exam is already tomorrow! My God guys! What a nervous person I am right now! People already told me that it is easy, okay and will be that way too, but I simply can't deny my anxious about it... HEEELP!
We all want it to succeed, but it's in God's hands!

Documents checklist for Visa Application

After much searching, asking questions and receiving help (thank you girls Married with British guys!) I could make a list of documents required for the visa interview.
People, not all documents are required as not all can be removed from the list, so it is always best to consult the official website and confirm if there are any questions I can't help you with here, okay? Moreover, it's better to include more than might be required than miss something important, and still ensure your visa!!!

Important Note: All documents must be originals, not copies or printed ones ok? But it is ALSO important to include a copy of the original that you'll need back, because they don't return originals if copy is not given.

I - Sponsor Information (my husband)
1.1 General Documents according to the Sponsorship form and Appendix 2 (financial form)
1.2 Simple copy of passport (bio-data pages)
1.3 National Insurance number (the same as Brazilian CPF)
1.4 Registered on electoral roll (to confirm where he lives and that he is firmly established - settled - as British citizen)
1.5 Mobile phone account (to verify your address, like described in the explanation of 1.4)
1.6 Personal statement letter - essentially introduzing himself as a British citizen and my husband, summarizing our relationship (where, when and how we met), confirming our plans to live together after marriage and building a family and also confirming that he is financially responsible for me in England and confirming the information presented in Appendix 2 form about his work and wage and saying that he meets all the financial requirements, moreover, he says that he wants me to join him in England and saying that he is at their disposal if they have any doubt.
 
II- Financial


Important Note: All the following documents require proof for the last 6 months, I stress that the last proven month can not exceed 28 days from the date of the visa application.
Note: All bank documents must be signed and stamped by the bank manager.

 

2.1 Last 6 months bank statements (or bank books) of the sponsor - proving that his salary was deposited into this account - this part isn't written in official website, but I think it's important doesn't show a bank account with a negative balance (in maximun a zero balance is acceptable I guess lol) 
2.2 Payslips of the sponsor for the last 6 months - can not be printed from internet, but if this is the only way to obtain this document as original, must be signed and stamped by head of the company.
2.3 Bank reference letter (or balance certificate) - evidence my husband is a customer/client (and for how long), saying the account number and the balance of it
2.4 Payment schedule - A company paper showing when payments of wage will be made in the next few months (if any)
2.5 P60 tax and National Insurance doc (for employed) or Income tax returns (for self-employed) - recent document from the Government tax office confirming your income and the amount of tax that you have paid.
 
III - Current Employment (sponsor)
3.1 Original employment contract (evidence of sponsor's employment) - If there's more than one (in case of the contract job keep being renewed as temporary), than it's better you give them all of the contracts that were signed in this company until present day.
3.2 Confirmation of the end of probationary period
3.3 Pension plan (if any)
3.4 Letter from the head of company - in a company letterhead paper, confirming the employment of the sponsor and stating how long he has worked in the company, position and salary also confirmed.


IV - Accommodation
4.1 Certified copy of deeds of sponsor's house - Property Deed (property title) or property lease (if it's the case) - to prove that it is an adequate place to live (and It is not a place for immigrants to live for example! hehehe)  
4.2 Property inspection report: Description of the property for a property inspection document - for the same reason described above in 4.2 (this is required if you're sharing the house with someone else that is not just your husband/wife, if you're going to live in a place just you and him, a letter of you just describing it is ok, and it's not necessary to give them this document if the description is already in the property deed)
P.S: The inspection can't be realised in more than 3months of the date of the application for the VISA.
4.3 Photos of each room in the house
4.4 Bills from utility companies (Water bills, electricity, gas and telephone - at least three different types of utility bills)
4.5 Invitation supporting letter of the house owners (if you're going to share the place with anyone else other than your spouse) - saying they know your plans to live there until you get your own house, which has enough space for you (us, in this case) to live, accommodation details, and they agree and authorize the plan and confirming that we are welcome/able to stay.
4.6 Local authority letter (council tax) and council tax bill/statements

V - Relationship and marriage
5.1 Marriage Certificate - certified translation
5.2 Wedding Photos
5.3 Other photos of us together, with friends and families and places we were together - I think I'll have around 150 photos - write in each picture the name of each person who is in the photo, where was it, when and, if it's the case, the name of the event - everything in English
5.4 E-mails' history exchanged by us throughout the period of the relationship
5.5 Screenshots and historical conversations on Skype, Whatsapp, SMS, iMessage and posts made on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc. You can also include here the comments of relatives and friends in these photos and posts as well as posts made by friends and relatives you were tagged in too.
5.6 Boarding passes and tickets when we went to see each other
5.7 Booking and payments of the hotels when we were together
5.8 Exchanged cards and letters
5.9 Letters from family and friends recognizing that our relationship and marriage is genuine, and always has been genuine, how they knew us, what they think of our relationship and if they support it.

VI - Information of the applicant
6.1 Visa Application Form VAF 4A - Appendix 2 (financial form) - don't forget to write with pen in the first page the number of the NHS payment that you do in the moment you create a login on visa application's website
6.2 Current and previous passport and Another document with picture (in addition to the passport)
6.3 Graduation certificate - certified translation
6.4 English language skills Proof (in my case, the test certificate IELTS Life Skills A1)
6.5 Two photos 3,5x4,5 (passport size according to the criteria they ask)
6.6 My personal statement in English - more emotional, about wanting to be with him, etc
6.7 Negative certificate of criminal records (If applicable) - certified translation
6.8 Confirmation of the interview scheduled (visa application appointment) - they send by e-mail after the online application
6.9 Visa application confirmation (they send by e-mail after the online application) and visa application payment
 

People, that is. I tried to be as clear and detailed as possible in this post. Exemplifying and explaining with as much detail about each item. I hope it all works out!

It hasn't been easy to raise the money, I confess. Especially now that there was an increase (from 956 pounds to 1195 plus health insurance NHS 600 pounds)

Still, I can't wait to have this British Consulate VISA pasted on my passport. Can't wait to see the start date and its expiration. After all, I still feel confident.

Checklist dos documentos pro visto

Depois de muito pesquisar, tirar dúvidas e receber ajuda (obrigada meninas Casadas com Britânicos!), consegui fazer uma lista dos documentos que levarei pra entrevista do visto.
Gente, nem todos os documentos são obrigatórios assim como nem todos podem ser retirados da lista, então sempre o melhor é consultar o site oficial e confirmar caso haja alguma dúvida que eu não consiga ajudar aqui tá? Além disso, se for pra pecar, melhor pecar pelo excesso do que pela falta e vamos garantir nosso visto!!!

OBS importante: Todos os documentos devem ser originais, nenhum sendo cópia ou impresso ok? Mas é importante levar cópia TAMBÉM daqueles originais que você precisará de volta, pois eles não devolvem caso não haja uma cópia pra ficar com eles.

I - Informação do patrocinador (meu marido)
1.1 Documentos gerais de acordo com os formulários de patrocinador e Appendix 2 (formulário financeiro)
1.2 Cópia simples do passaporte (páginas dos dados pessoais)
1.3 National Insurance number (como o CPF dele na Inglaterra)

1.4 Documento de quando ele é convocado para votar (para confirmar onde ele vive e está firmado como cidadão inglês)

1.5 Conta de celular (para comprovar seu endereço, igual descrito na explicação do 1.4)

1.6 Carta de apresentação dele (personal statement letter) - basicamente se apresentando como cidadão britânico e meu marido, resumindo o nosso relacionamento (onde, quando e como nos conhecemos), confirmando nossos planos de morar juntos após o casamento e constituir família e confirmando também que se responsabiliza financeiramente por mim na Inglaterra e confirmando as informações apresentadas no Appendix 2 sobre o trabalho dele e salário e dizendo que ele preenche todos os requisitos financeiros, além disso, dizer que quer eu me junte a ele lá e se colocando à disposição para esclarecer qualquer dúvida.

II- Financeiro

OBS: Todos os documentos abaixo que necessitam comprovação dos últimos 6 meses, ressalto que o último mês comprovado não pode ser superior a 28 dias da data de início da aplicação do visto.

OBS²: Todos os documentos do banco devem estar assinados e carimbados pelo gerente do banco.

 

2.1 Extrato bancário dos últimos 6 meses do patrocinador - provando que o salário foi depositado nesta conta (bank statements or bank books) - Esse detalhe não está escrito na página oficial, mas acho interessante não apresentar saldo negativo, acho que no máximo uma conta com saldo zerado seja aceitável rs

2.2 Contra-cheques (o mesmo que holerites) dos últimos 6 meses do patrocinador - não pode ser impresso da internet, mas se caso esse for o único meio de obter esse documento como original, devem ser assinados e carimbados pelo chefe da empresa (payslips)

2.3 Carta do banco do patrocinador (bank letter or balance certificate)

2.4 Cronograma de pagamento - folha da empresa mostrando quando os pagamentos dos próximos salários serão realizados
2.5 Imposto de renda (pra eles é o income tax return) e P60 (documento como a cédula C)

III - Emprego corrente do patrocinador
3.1 Contrato de emprego original - evidência de emprego do patrocinador (todos os originais dos últimos 2 anos se for o caso de ser um emprego temporário no início que veio se renovando com o tempo)
3.2 Confirmação do término de período probatório
3.3 Plano de pensão (se tiver)

3.4 Carta do chefe - em um papel timbrado, confirmando o emprego do patrocinador e informando há quanto tempo ele trabalha na empresa, cargo e salário do mesmo.

IV - Acomodação

4.1 Cópia certificada da escritura do imóvel do patrocinador (property title) ou contrato de locação de imóvel (property lease) - para provar que esse é um lugar adequado para morar e que não tem vários imigrantes morando lá, por exemplo! hehehe

4.2 Descrição da propriedade por um documento de inspeção de propriedade (com prazo máximo de 3 meses da realização) - pela mesma razão descrita acima no 4.2 - Property inspection report

4.3 Fotos de cada compartimento da casa

4.4 Contas de água, luz, gás e telefone (pelo menos três tipos diferentes - utility bills)

4.5 Carta convite de apoio dos proprietários da casa (se for o caso de você dividir o lugar com mais alguém que não seja o seu esposo) - dizendo que eles sabem dos nossos planos de morar lá até nós conseguirmos a nossa própria casa, que tem espaço suficiente para morarmos, detalhando a acomodação, e que eles concordam e autorizam esse plano e confirmando que podemos e somos bem-vindos a morar lá

4.6 Documento de registro de propriedade
4.7 Carta de autoridade local (Conselho fiscal - Council tax) e IPTU pago da casa (eles chamam de council tax bill/statements) - declarações do conselho fiscal

V - Relacionamento e casamento

5.1 Certificado de casamento - tradução juramentada

5.2 Fotos do casamento

5.3 Outras fotos de nós dois juntos, com amigos e famílias e de lugares que estivemos juntos - acho que vou mandar em torno de umas 150 fotos - escrever nomes das pessoas que estão em cada foto, data, lugar e, caso se aplique, o evento (em inglês).

5.4 Histórico de e-mails trocados por nós ao longo do relacionamento

5.5 Screenshots e históricos de conversas no Skype, Whatsapp, SMS, iMessage e de posts feitos no Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc. Também pode incluir aqui os comentários de parentes e amigos nessas fotos e posts, bem como posts realizados por parentes e amigos em que fomos marcados.

5.6 Cartões de embarque e passagens de quando fomos ver um ao outro

5.7 Reservas de hotéis e pagamento dos mesmos de quando estávamos juntos

5.8 Cartões e cartas trocados

5.9 Cartas de familiares e amigos reconhecendo que nosso relacionamento e casamento é, e sempre foi, genuíno, como conheceram a gente, o que acham do nosso relacionamento e dando apoio.

VI - Informação do aplicante

6.1 Formulário de aplicação do visto VAF 4A - Appendix 2 (formulário financeiro) - lembrar de escrever à mão na primeira folha o número do pagamento do National Healthy Insurance que você paga no momento que cria o login no site de aplicação pro visto.

6.2 Passaporte atual e anteriores e Documento com foto (além do passaporte) 

6.3 Diploma de graduação - tradução juramentada

6.4 Comprovante de conhecimento do idioma inglês (no meu caso, o certificado prova IELTS Life Skills A1)
6.5 Duas fotos 3,5x4,5 (tamanho de passaporte de acordo com os critérios que eles pedem)
6.6 Minha carta (personal statement) em inglês - mais emocional, sobre querer estar com ele
6.7 Certidão negativa de antecedentes criminais - tradução juramentada
6.8 Confirmação do agendamento da entrevista (visa application appointment) - enviado por e-mail após a aplicação online
6.9 Visa application confirmation (enviado por email após a aplicação online) e pagamento do visto (visa application payment)


Gente, é isso. Eu tentei ser o mais clara e detalhista possível nesse post. Exemplificando e explicando com o máximo de detalhes cada item. Espero que tudo dê certo!

Não tá sendo fácil conseguir arrecadar esse valor do visto, confesso. Ainda mais agora que houve aumento (de 956 libras esterlinas para 1195 mais o seguro saúde NHS de 600 libras esterlinas).

Mesmo assim, não vejo a hora de ter este selo do Consulado Britânico colado no meu passaporte. Mal posso esperar pra ver a data de início e de validade dele. Apesar de tudo, tenho me sentido confiante.

Change of names documents - from single to married

If there is one thing that is bureaucratic, takes time (sometimes money) and patience, it is changing the maiden name in all your official documents. I did it, I took the last name of my husband, I know today is no longer required, but decided to do it anyway.

So the change of documents is very very boring, but it has to be done right? So I will just work through it and get rid of this nightmare. I confess that there is not a big deal to solve no, but I don't have much patience at all.

And then the following, the very first bit:
RG (Identity Card) - Scheduling by the Police website and payment of the fee (around R$ 47 / R$ 48 in 2015). The day is scheduled to attend, you take your marriage certificate, two recent and identical photos 3x4 enabling them to be stamped and proof of payment. I do not remember if it was necessary to bring proof of residence, but in doubt, better to check. They mark another date to deliver (about 1 week later).

CPF (Brazilian National Insurance Number) - I made the change in the post office, with the new ID, current CPF, last vote voucher, proof of residence and marriage certificate. They charged me a rate of R$ 7.00 for it. They already give at the same time a proof of change for you.

Employment record card - no need to change (I later learned that they just put a change of information in the old record card), but didn't pay anything because I got an indication of a Member to take the copy of this document.

Voter Registration - Attend a Regional Electoral Court of the city or an Electoral Registry with your original documents that have changed, proof of residence and marriage certificate. There was no value charged for changing the document. It is ready at the same time.

INSS (National Social Security - Pension - Institute) - Schedule updating information on the INSS website and attend on the scheduled day and time (they only meet at the appointed time) with your marriage certificate, and all other personal documents, proof of residence, ID and CPF. There was no value charged for a data update. They already print and deliver it there a paper with the changes that were made.

Passport - that was a question I had, mainly because I am applying for spouse visa to live in England with my husband and I was afraid of having problems if it have seen with the maiden name. So I decided to change, but I know people that have not changed and walked around in England with the marriage certificate altogether the passport. Anyway, follow the steps as for the first passport. Site of the Federal Police, paid the fee schedule, take the documents and then you collect the new passport on the date they schedule for delivery. R$ 257.25 in 2016.

All the Banks that you have a checking account and/or savings, including the Savings Caixa Econômica Federal Bank to update the data of their FGTS (Guarantee Fund for Employees) and don't have problems in the future because of that, when you want to retire or have the right insurance - unemployment, salary bonuses, allowances, etc.

I changed the name in the register of the company that I work too, I don't know how it works for you, but here's an application and form filled to make the change and come right on the counter-check (payslip) and according to the record in FGTS, INSS and bank we receive our salary.

Driver's license (National Driver's License - CNH) - Go to the DMV(Detran) of your city provided the original and photocopy of ID, social security number, current CNH, marriage certificate and proof of residence. Still don't know the value because I have not done this change, will tell you another day here about this part.

Health and dental plans too!
Do not forget to also change in credit cards, Regional Councils, and utility bills, telephone, electricity, water, etc.

Mudança de nome nos documentos - solteira pra casada

Se tem uma coisa que é burocrática, requer tempo (às vezes dinheiro) e paciência, é a alteração do nome de solteira pro de casada nos documentos. Eu fiz isso, assumi o sobrenome do meu marido, sei que hoje em dia não é mais obrigado, mas decidi mudar mesmo assim.

Então a mudança dos documentos é beeem chata, mas, tem que ser feita né? Então fui logo resolver isso e me ver livre do pesadelo. Confesso que não é lá grandes coisas pra resolver não, eu é que não tenho muita paciência mesmo.

Então é o seguinte, primeiríssimo:

RG (Carteira de Identidade) - Agendamento pelo site da Polícia e pagamento da taxa (em torno de R$47/R$48 em 2015). No dia que for agendado para comparecer, você leva sua certidão de casamento, 2 fotos 3x4 recentes e iguais que permitam ser carimbadas e o comprovante de pagamento. Não lembro se foi necessário levar o comprovante de residência, mas na dúvida, melhor levar. Eles marcam outra data para entregar (cerca de 1 semana depois).

CPF (Cadastro de pessoas físicas) - Fiz a alteração numa agência dos Correios, com o novo RG, CPF atual, título de eleitor, comprovante de residência e a certidão de casamento em mãos. Eles me cobraram uma taxa de R$7,00 para isso. Eles já entregam na mesma hora um comprovante da alteração pra você.

Carteira de trabalho - não é necessário alterar (fiquei sabendo depois que basta eles colocarem uma informação de alteração na carteira antiga), mas também não paguei nada porque consegui uma indicação de um Deputado para tirar a 2ªvia.

Título de Eleitor - Compareça a um Tribunal Regional Eleitoral da sua cidade ou a um Cartório Eleitoral com seus documentos originais já alterados, comprovante de residência e a certidão de casamento. Não foi cobrado nenhum valor para a alteração do documento. Fica pronto na mesma hora.

INSS (Instituto Nacional de Seguro Social) - Agende a atualização cadastral no site do INSS e compareça no dia e hora marcados (eles só atendem na hora marcada) com sua certidão de casamento, e todos os demais documentos pessoais, comprovante de residência, RG e CPF. Não foi cobrado nenhum valor para atualização de dados. Eles já imprimem e lhe entregam lá mesmo um papel com as alterações feitas.

Passaporte - essa foi uma dúvida que eu tive, principalmente porque estou aplicando pro visto de residência na Inglaterra com o meu marido e estava com medo de ter problemas de ter o visto com o nome de solteira. Então resolvi mudar, mas sei de pessoas que não mudaram e andavam com a certidão de casamento junto. Enfim, segue todos os passos como para o primeiro passaporte. Site da Polícia Federal, paga a taxa, agenda, leva os documentos e depois vai buscar na data em que eles marcarem para entrega. Valor R$257,25 em 2016.

Bancos que você possui conta corrente e/ou poupança, inclusive na Caixa Econômica para atualizar os dados do seu FGTS (Fundo de Garantia por Tempo de Serviço) e não ter problemas no futuro por conta disso, quando quiser se aposentar ou ter direito a seguro-desemprego, abono salarial, licenças, etc.

Troquei o nome no cadastro da empresa que eu trabalho também, não sei como funciona pra vocês, mas aqui tem um requerimento e formulário que preenchemos para fazerem a alteração e vir correto no contra-cheque e de acordo com o que consta no FGTS, INSS e banco que recebemos nosso salário.

Carteira de motorista (Carteira Nacional de Habilitação - CNH) - Vá no Detran da sua cidade munida dos originais e xerox do RG, CPF, CNH atual, certidão de casamento e comprovante de residência. Ainda não sei o valor pois ainda não fiz essa alteração, depois conto aqui pra vocês.

Planos de saúde e odontológicos


Não esqueça de mudar também nos cartões de crédito, conselhos, e contas de utilidade, telefone, luz, água, etc.

So guys, I'm here, again, minding my own. =) I spent my sunny Saturday separating documents for the visa!

I know! The life of a future immigrant is not that easy hey, lots and lots of things to organise, piles of documents to see and don't forget anything! There's so many things to do, but here we go!

I don't know why all of this makes me feel anxious, nervous, tense. I shouldn't! All that we need to prove is that our marriage is genuine (and it iS!), so why do I keep worrying about it if there's nothing wrong about out relationship, right? I think that is because there's so many things involved in it, values, our future, I don't know!

Anyway, I will keep myself positive!! I swear!

Então meninas, estou aqui de boas aproveitando meu sabadão ensolarado para: separar documentos pro visto!

É, vida de futura imigrante não é mole não! Tanta coisa pra pensar e organizar... mas vamos lá né? 

Não sei porque isso me deixa um pouco tensa, não deveria! Afinal, o que nós temos que provar é que nosso casamento é genuíno (e ele é!), então por que me preocupar com isso já que não há nada de errado não é mesmo? Acho que é por tudo que está em jogo, futuro, valores, enfim, mas vou manter meu pensamento positivo sempre!

5- I adapt myself well and easy in the local culture

Guys, do you have idea of the amount of things you will be changing by living in a different country from your own? All different, food, weather, places, the language (do you realize just how tricky it is when in the middle of an argument you want to use your native language but you can't?), Employment (will you get to work in your area of expertise or what you want to do? And the job interview?), laws, culture, lifestyle, people of your embrace, living far from family and friends and not be present at important moments such as births, marriages, illnesses, deaths, graduations, birthdays, Christmas, New Year etc. And when you have children? Have you ever imagined that the little contact that your children will have with your family, you will only be in Brazil during their holiday visits or when your relatives visit you? I'm wishing for my kids be kids who can talk well in both languages (and wishing that I can be a didactic mother to make them not to be confused with the two languages), so I can use Facetime for my family to participate a little more and be aware of their development.

So? Do you still think that it will be a piece of cake? It won't! Don't be misled by this thought...

So why are you going Lu? 
I have thought about all this already, and the Brazilian reality right now is not so encouraging, so analyzing everything rationally, the decision was I go instead of my husband comes to live here. Can you imagine him trying to get a job in Brazil in the current economic crisis?

Anyway, I also thought how hard it would be to live without my husband close to me. We have to make a choice in life right? If your husband isn't coming here, you will be going there then. So keep having lots of determination and perseverence and make the move knowing that the truth is: you will face these difficulties and so it will not be easy but you can do this and it may be worth because life in Europe is another story. But keep in mind that the certainty that you will adapt easily may not be true . My tip is: go there and try it! =)

4- I won't need to work if I live with him in Europe

Have you ever had a conversation about it? What is the opinion of both of you about it? Both are not bothered about going out to work every day? Or your husband would not want you to go out to work every day? What does he think about it? Do you agree with his opinion? Are you willing to do what he wants? Or is it you who prefers to stay at home and be supported by him while taking care of things at home? And he agrees with that? Are you able to have that kind of life? The salary that he receives will be enough to keep your lives if you do decide to stay at home?

Yeah right?! I know!

That's why it is not so simple ... As I said in the first section of this post: No! It's not true that every foreigner is rich! So maybe you do not become a lady of leisure only by marrying one foreigner, okay?
It is a super serious matter and needs to be discusssed between you both.

If you no longer work when living in Europe and like it, great! But I particularly like to earn my pocket money and hope to get a job as soon as I get there.

5- Eu me adapto bem e fácil a cultura local

Gente, vocês tem ideia da quantidade de itens que você estará mudando por viver fora do seu país de origem? Tudo diferente, comida, clima, lugares, idioma (vocês imaginam o quanto é complicado no meio de uma discussão você querer usar sua língua nativa e não poder?), emprego (você conseguirá trabalhar na sua área ou com o que deseja? e a entrevista de emprego?), leis, cultura, estilo de vida, pessoas do seu convívio, viver longe de família e amigos e não estar presente em momentos importantes como nascimentos, casamentos, doenças, falecimentos, formaturas, aniversários, Natal, Reveillón etc, E quando vocês tiverem os filhos? Você já imaginou que o pouco contato que seus filhos terão com a sua família no Brasil serão durante suas visitas de férias ou quando seus parentes aparecerem para lhe ver? Eu torço pros meus filhos serem crianças que consigam conversar bem nos dois idiomas (e que eu seja uma mãe didática para fazê-los não se confundir com os dois idiomas), assim posso fazer uso do Facetime pra minha família participar mais um pouco do desenvolvimento deles.

E aí? Você ainda acha que será facinho, facinho? Não será! Não adianta se enganar.

Então por que você está indo Lu? Eu pensei sobre tudo isso já, tem a questão também de que a realidade brasileira não está favorecendo e analisando racionalmente, a decisão foi eu ir ao invés de ele vir morar aqui. Já imaginou tentar conseguir um emprego pro meu marido aqui no Brasil na atual crise econômica?

Enfim, também pensei o quanto é difícil viver casada sem marido perto. Temos que fazer uma escolha na vida né? Se não for ele vindo, será você indo. Então garra e perseverança e segue em frente sabendo que a verdade é que você enfrentará essas dificuldades sim e não será fácil mas que você pode fazer isso e que pode valer a pena pois a vida na Europa é outra história. Mas tenha em mente que a certeza de que você se adaptará fácil não convém. Minha dica é: vá lá e experimente! =)
