Myths and truths about foreigners (and the marriage with them) - Part 2/5

On the second part of this post we will talk about:

2 - Brazilian gets married with a gringo cause she is a self-seeking person

Hey? This is not quite the case. We know that there is a history of some women that emigrated in the past for other reasons, like looking to be a lady of easy virtue, or others that got married in another country just to get the green card or a passport. 

In my opinion, I'm not sure if this practice still exists, but the fact is it is so so soooo hard to apply for a spouse visa nowadays! They must have put some more difficulties on it cause the past.

Even so, I believe that most of the intercontinental marriages might have actually ocurred by real love, yeah. And this statistic has been increasing each day more because of the internet that is facilitating our life with globalization and making it so easy for us to make contact with people that are miles and miles away... Thank you internet, btw!

Futhermore, let's give a round of applause to the politeness, beauty and romanticism that lots of them still carry as characteristic and that lots of Brazilian men have a lack of. It seems the Brazilian men are losing this characteristic as way to treat women, we can already notice a slight difficulty in finding partners with these qualities here. So people like that make it almost impossible for us not to fall in love with them, even if he is far from us.

Of course I'm not here to generalise anything (how I said in the last post), there is no rule without an exception. We can find despicable men all over the world actually.

So guys, in conclusion, a Brazilian doesn't get married only because she is a self-seeking person, just like  not all of the gringos are irresistible and not all of Brazilian men are scoundrels, so let's stop and think before seterotyping people ok? =)
